The product is worth considering since it offers the following additional possibilities: maybe most importantly, PDF forms can be saved as filled out docments.
PDF Xpansion SDK - News directly from the developers´s workbench

In the field of electronic documents, nowadays PDF may definitely be characterised as the file format that constitutes the most widespread standard for digitally based communication and teamwork. The importance of PDF is underlined by the fact that in July 2008, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the approved ISO 32000-1 standard based upon PDF 1.7. This means that PDF has become an official ISO standard.

soft Xpansion allows for the high relevance of PDF. The company regularly publishes new extensions and enhancements for its PDF Xpansion Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK enables software developers to seamlessly implement the creation, editing and display of PDF files into their own 32- and 64-bit applications. In the second quarter of 2009, soft Xpansion has released the following new features:

The PDF Quick Viewer library now fully supports the PDF event model (events and actions).

The viewer generates events and automatically executes actions that are assigned to events (excluding the JScript action).

The event handler enables client applications to receive notifications about any type of event - document, page, field and annotation events.

The PDF Quick Viewer library now supports a layout handler. This handler interface enables client applications to receive notifications about relayout and scroll events in the viewer.

Added possibility to transform coordinates of a specified point in the viewer window to page coordinates and vice versa.
